ACPV ARCHITECTS’ project for the Porta Est urban regeneration competition in Naples aims to transform an important infrastructural area of the city into a new, attractive hub: a dynamic, accessible, and connected urban environment. This intervention seeks to facilitate the flow of people and vehicles, expand existing functions, and promote social interaction, turning the area into a point of reference for the entire city and its inhabitants.
The new Regione Campania Headquarters is one of the key elements of the project, with its transparent facade serving as a ‘background’ to the city and the square. The building is designed as a bifrontal architecture: one side is mineral, facing the city, and the other one is natural, opening towards the park and Vesuvius. It becomes a visible and stable landmark in the landscape, offering flexible and hybrid workspaces that foster collaboration and well-being for its people, with panoramic views over Naples.
