Light and transparent in its design, a sequence of arches stretches next to Milan’s Expo grounds, providing a graceful infrastructural solution for one of the busiest and most developed areas in the region of Lombardy.
The shape of the bridge and road system creates visual continuity between the diverse elements of the surrounding urban landscape and the new infrastructural construction, becoming a stepping stone on the approach to the city of Milan.
Optical change and kinetic effects created through subtle grey color variations, designed in collaboration with the artist Jorrit Tornquist, lend a unique character to the entire development.
