La Bella Vita residential tower stands in the heart of Taichung’s fast-growing 7th District, one of Taiwan’s most dynamic urban areas. Rising 128 metres above the city, the project is conceived as both a landmark and a living organism, integrating the identity of the nearby Charlotte Park with the rhythm of the surrounding civic and cultural institutions.
The composition of the tower is articulated through four distinct volumes that rise like geological strata, their stacked balconies evoking the layered materiality of rock formations. These lower blocks are unified by a soaring 37-storey amber-coloured core, wrapped in a honeycomb-patterned window structure that breaks up the light and reflections. This central element becomes both a structural and a symbolic spine: an amber prism that ties together the individual parts into a cohesive whole, reflecting daylight with ever-changing brilliance.
