The interiors of Mandarin Oriental Milan combine a classic Milanese style with strongly decorative materials and expressive colors, nuanced by a close attention to guests’ experience, a rigorous design language and custom-made furniture.
The project brings together four 18th-century buildings that, with the unique characteristics and history of each, create a distinctive identity of ‘inner’ Milan.

The works of Italian design master, such as Piero Portaluppi, Gio Ponti, Asnago and Vender, inspired the Milanese identity of the hotel’s interiors. The selection of furnishings, materials and color palettes alludes to the concept of ‘dimora Milanese’ (Milanese noble residence), and lends a uniquely residential feel to the entire hotel to make guests feel completely at ease.
