Located in Milan’s Porta Nuova district, the world’s first urban area to achieve LEED and WELL certifications for its focus on people’s well-being, the new offices at via Gioia 20 respond to the contemporary needs of office building users.
The design features a lattice-patterned façade with large window openings that wrap around the entire complex and open the building to ample natural light.
The offices achieve the highest standards of energy efficiency for the sustainable operation of the offices: water and energy consumption is reduced by 60% with innovative building management systems, while the façade integrates photovoltaic glass sheets that generate one million kilowatts of clean energy a year.
The project settles within Milan’s mobility system with a seamless pathway from the MM Gioia metro station to the ground floor’s retail areas, and the office floors above.
