/ Piazza Alboreto

Located in the outskirts of Milan, the square features red baked bricks and a system of porticoes that link the public space to the surrounding shops. It revives the concept of the Italian ‘piazza’ in the residential district by accommodating two functions in distinct zones. In the central part an ecosystem of trees creates a green zone for relaxation and the enjoyment of the outside. The part marked by the concentric oval pattern acts as a meeting place where benches partition the space into secluded zones. Spaciousness and functionality define the character of the project, qualifying the square as a living environment.
