Paolo Mazza lectures at Politecnico di Milano

From May 5.

ACPV ARCHITECTS Partner Paolo Mazza will be joining the Material Balance Design Master course as a guest lecturer, presenting a series of sessions titled “Algorithmic Sustainability: AI, Timber, and Material Balance.”
He will explore the concept of sustainability through quality, with a focus on wood – examining how its treatment and use can support the development of environmentally responsible design solutions. As a case study, he will present our studio’s project for the Qatar Airways Lounges at Doha Airport, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Additionally, he will address digital fabrication techniques and the aesthetics of eco-materials, offering insights into how sustainable choices can be integrated into design through advanced technologies – such as the recently launched A new AI generation Marble stoneware slab collection, developed by ACPV ARCHITECTS in collaboration with Reply and Marazzi.

The Master course is directed by Professor Ingrid Maria Paoletti for Politecnico di Milano.
