ACPV ARCHITECTS masterplan wins the international competition for the redevelopment of the former trade fair area in Rome.
“La Città della Gioia” is a project designed to diversify and enhance the quality of the public space, enriching it with learning and sharing opportunities for everyone. Prioritizing the interests and needs of younger generations, this project aims to foster the development of healthy and vibrant communities, while also representing a proactive approach to urban planning.
Patricia Viel, ACPV ARCHITECTS CEO, says: “Our project explores the latent energies of the city and, through an urban design conceived with specific goals, turns them into ethical tools. “La Città della Gioia” gives meaning and purpose to a large urban area of Rome, transforming public spaces for educational, inclusive, and intergenerational experiences.”
This masterplan was developed in collaboration with ARUP, Asset and Parcnouveau.
