This year marks the 25th anniversary of our project for the Edel Headquarters in Hamburg.
Designed in the late 1990s for Edel, an independent music and media company, the building is part of a larger masterplan that reimagined a run-down stretch of former industrial waterfront as a civic and cultural corridor, a strategic initiative by the city of Hamburg combining flood protection infrastructure with the ambition to spark urban transformation.
This project marked a significant milestone for ACPV ARCHITECTS: it was the studio’s first major work outside Italy and a catalyst for future commissions in Germany and beyond. The new headquarters was conceived as a tailor-made structure reflecting the youthful, informal spirit of the music industry: a campus-like environment and an open, inclusive space fostering creative exchange between employees, guests, and artists from around the world.
